Message from Paul M, Executive Director of the ISO:

020 ISO Delegate Conference will be an Electronic Meeting

Dear Friend in Recovery,

Due to the current uncertainties caused by the coronavirus pandemic, the annual meeting of the ISO Conference, October 9-10, 2020, will meet by electronic means. This is the first year of an Area Delegate Conference.

The registration fee this year is $50.

Area Delegates must register at: https://saa-recovery.org/delegateform/

The delegate's registration must be confirmed with the Executive Committee of that Area.

After your delegate status has been confirmed, you should register for the Conference at https://saa-conference.org/register.php to attend and vote.

Members of the Board of Trustees, Literature Committee members and ISO office personnel (like delegates, "voting members") must register to be able to attend and vote.

Non-Voting members of the fellowship can attend the Conference, provided they register, but will have limited, if any, opportunity to participate in Conference deliberations.

You can register for and find further information about the Conference at: https://saa-conference.org/

If you have any questions, please contact the ISO office at info@saa-recovery.org or 713-869-4902.

To Serve the Fellowship-at-Large

Beginning in 2017, a new method of electing trusted servants to the ISO Board of Trustees and the ISO Literature Committee will take effect. Rather than election by regional caucuses, these trusted servants will be elected at-large by the delegates during the annual meeting of the ISO Conference. Members of the Conference Area Coordinating Committee will also be elected by the Conference delegates.

To facilitate this process, a Conference Nominating Committee (NomCom) was elected at the Chicago meeting in 2016. The NomCom is charged with the responsibility of vetting potential candidates and presenting to the Conference a slate of nominees to fill open positions.

Toward this end, the NomCom requests that members of the fellowship, who are interested in exploring the opportunities for service at the international level, complete a service résumé and submit it to the ISO office. It is anticipated that a repository of interested trusted servants can be built for use by the NomCom in identifying potential candidates for positions within the ISO.
